My husband and I reside in the historic Philadelphia Pennsylvania area. We have a cute doggie who has a hard time getting along with our parrot. We also have two cockatiels who chirp all day long.

My business career expands over 25 years as an administrative assistant for many well known corporations. In July of 1997 I logged onto www.eBay.com and began buying antiques and collectibles. Soon I was selling and since then continue to sell to thousands of customers. In November of 2000 I left the corporate world to pursue operating my gift shop "Barbara's Place" and my website Lacey Lady's Collectibles Shop on a full time basis. My little gift shop, Barbara's Place, was open for about a year before we closed it.

I much prefer selling on the internet :-) There were few online fairy shops when LaceyLady.com went online in 1999. I spent my free time studying web design books and newsletters and learning as much as I could about the internet and search engines.

In March 2011 my husband and I decided to change the format of LaceyLady.com from a static site to one that is database driven. It now offers state-of-the-art shopping cart security as well as all of the bells and whistles that I would want for my customers.
