Fairysite Fairy Figurines

Oklahoma with her
husband
and their beautiful
cats.
Nene Tina Thomas began her career in 1994 when
approached to produce artwork for the card game "Magic: the Gathering." Her
artwork is also featured in such card games as Shadowfist, Legend of the Five
Rings, Galactic Empires, Tempest of the Gods, Wyrmwars, Gridiron, Vampire: The
Eternal Struggle, Xenophiles, and Battlelords of the 23rd Century.
Nene's earlier works were all produced using watercolors, but her more recent
pieces have been created using digital media. But no matter what media is used,
the core elements of her art remain constant: her characters have grace and
elegance, her settings are striking, and the images as a whole are
breathtaking. Nene's greatest artistic ambition is to be able to perfectly
capture an image that she has in her mind's eye on paper. 
In 2003 Dragonsite released Faery of the Ravens (pictured left), Nene's
first sculpture and a magnificent piece with every feather on the fairy's wings
so clearly detailed that you could almost feel the feathery texture. Over the
years she's designed many incredible fairy, anime and carousel horse figurines
and ornaments and her fan base continues to grow. Yet through it all as I read
through her online blog and website,
www.nenethomas.com,
she remains down to earth and amazingly talented.
Nene's latest collection of figurines, called surprisingly enough The Dragon
Witch Collection, consists of two fairies and their dragons. The Dragon
Witch Collection will be in stock sometime in March 2010. The figurines
are called Witching Hour and Halo and are both approximately 10 3/4" tall.
They are made of a hard cast resin which is carefully hand painted.
I saw them at the recent Philadelphia Gift Show and they are gorgeous!
Also new is Nene Thomas' Orchestral Flower Fairy Figurines. I saw them at the
Philadelphia gift show and they're beautiful. The Orchestral Flower Fairy
Figurine Collection consists of Symphony in Black and White, Rhapsody in Gold,
Lavender Serenade and Prelude in Blue fairies. Each fairy figurine is
approximately 6" high, and is made of hard cast resin which is then carefully
hand painted with attention to detail.
